Ready, set, l(a)unch!

Why are we here? That's the proverbial question, isn't it? Well, I don't know the answer in the what-does-it-all-mean sense, but I know why I'm here. To eat. To eat lunch, that is.

Perhaps I will revise my goal later, but for now, it is to "lunch" at a local eatery once a week and offer up some observations about my experience here. Why lunch? Because I'm a poor college student, that's why.

I'm a firm believer in all things local, and I love food, so this is really a labor of love. I've worked in restaurants and sampled food in Louisville, Kentucky for 10 years now, and I'm still surprised by the variety of local options in this city. It makes me wonder why any locals would ever venture into a chain restaurant when our friends and neighbors have so much to offer us.

I hope you will get some enjoyment out of this little blog, or at the very least a full stomach.

First up, Dragon King's Daughter. Sushi on Bardstown Road. Stay tuned.

Cheers,
Fleur de Lunch
